so i checked just now and the lights should be coming in tommorow the 13th, so in the meantime everyone, including me wanted to see what they looked like on the car so i put them on and popped an apc bulb in just to see. now with the LED in there it will be so much brighter but this is just a slight idea

Ya I'm loving the way they are turning out, it's exactly what I was looking for as far as looks and light output. Since this is a cheap bulb and it's light output during the day is decent, I know that the LED light will definitly look 10x better. I already got the bolts, nuts, and washers needed to mount them in. So tommorow should be D-day for sure!

Wow I can't believe I missed this... Shame all you guys are north of me, I miss out on the fun sheet. Definately do a write-up Chris, or post on the FB club and I will probably do something similar.
I've been debating on tinting the tails or clearing them... both look so good on silver cars I can't make up my mind.

Can't wait to see with the LEDs!!!

i did this, but i didnt use the reflector. i also painted the insides. im not a huge fan of clear tails unless its the right color car, which is hard to come by.

Yea I read thru your writeup on it and that was what got me debating on tinting or clearing and painting a nice shiny silver inside to match.
Silver would look good either way I just can't decide which I would rather do

honestly, its a lot harder than you think cutting them open nicely. i didnt do that nice of a job. i feel as though i needed a bigger cutting blade in order to do it better.

Ya I would say the toughest part of it is cutting the backing off. Alot of melted pieces of plastic and seems like it takes the most time. Btw bio I used your write up for the base of my tail lights, then went with my idea after I passed the cutting part. Just want to make sure I give credit where it's due.

And update everyone, the LEDs came in yesterday and the lights are already installed on the car. Should have a write up by later today. And btw they look SICK!! lol

I think you left out "not" ^^^ ???

Hurry up Chris, I'm getting impatient on this!!! BTW could you get a further back shot of them when you do? Up close is nice, but a whole back end shot is what I'm really wanting to see.
