No you need an entire WOT 2nd gear pull and some of third, to get an aqccurate read into KR. You need a few of these back to back

This might be a stupid question then, but if my car NEVER sees WOT is KR really an issue? I don't drive like its a racecar. I'm not out looking for a race, just driving back and forth to work with a moderatly quick car. I'm already married so i don't need to impress anyone. =)

then why are you "modding" it if you dont beat the hell out of it?, whats the point of putting loads of money in to it if you never get to the full potential of what its capable of?

I learned with my camaro, that the more you beat on it the more it breaks. I bought the GTP pre-modded and in need of a transmission(I assume because the previous owner thought like you). I added the headers because I dropped the k-frame to do the transmission and it was easy. I don't have that much into the mods... into the car for that matter... My last car was slow as heck and two door... I wanted something respectible with four doors to get the car seats in... =) As long as I know what it is capable of... I have no need to prove it.

either way you should pulley up to a 3.5 and run the car that way. it'll be way more bulletproof because a life of 5* of KR when getting into the throttle and too much boost will not only destroy the transmission again, but potentially the motor.

Could I get away with 3.4 pully with 1.9 rockers/springs? Or still unsafe?

    Sweet!

Thanks for the knowledge... I like strait answers and you have been very helpful! I think I'll set my sights on the rockers then. I'll be doing a side job later this month that should pay enough to get the rockers. =)

If I am understanding you correctly you dont have the money to play with your gp so just leave it alone. We all learned from each other or the hard way. So that being said just keep it a DD and you will be ok. I had 4g in the car and 4g in mods and still was not happy. IF you dont know just ask you will learn more that way. Just my 2 cents.

I cannot afford anything until I paint the car. Then I'll get paid enough to do rockers. Until I get the job done, I won't be buying anything. =)
