Dan..
We don't have any magical powers to know why your check engine light is on. Gonna need you to hop to action and take your car to the parts store for a free scan. Write down all the actual codes and numbers. Then post them up after you've googled them all to also supply us with the names of them.
That'll give us a good starting point on where to suggest you start to fixing the issues.
I know what the check engin light is for. its the ses air bag light. sorry thats my fault, thinking to fast and not being able to type fast. its the air bag light.
I've never seen a Service ENGINE Soon light that related to an airbag issue. Airbag light should be seperate.
Either way. Read the code, post the code and name. Once we know what the car is complaining about we'll have some idea of how to suggest you fix it.
Til then
Im sory for the wrong light question, it my srs air bag light. How is that on when my air bags nave never gone off?
When a fault is sensed the light will kick on to warn you of the airbag system potentially having a malfunction.
Worse case, either they don't deploy in a crash or they deploy when they shouldn't.
It means there is an issue w/ the airbag system, a malfunctioning component somewhere and the airbag may not work in the event of a crash.
Worst case scenario the airbag will deploy at random and smack you!

Dealer should be able to fix it. I don't know your local mechanics, so I can't vouch for their equipment or skill level.
Kinda tough to tell you where/how to fix something w/o knowing what's wrong. Ya know?
I know. Ill call the dealship and see what they charge, but im assumeing that it will be an arm and a leg. thank for the help.
I'd expect it to be too.
But .. say it's just resettting the system, that should be reasonable.
I rebuilt a car that had airbag deployment. And merely had to reset the airbag deployment code with a Tech2 for the system to be happy again.
If its too expensive you could just buy a scanner and look the code up and fix it yourself. That is if you even feel comfortable doing that.
