I am pretty sure this has been covered somewhere, but i have done some searching and havent found much. Anyhow, the question is. If i remove, plugs open ports, and unplug the EGR will the car still run the same? I know there will be a check engine light, but besides that is that the only issue? BTW, its a 99 gtp

    Thanks guys!

Look on ZZperformance in the exhaust section and purchase the EGR block off plate, that will take care of the hippie EGR valve.
Who ever said "Out with the old and in with the new."?

You need two. One for the rear exhaust manifold and one for the lower intake manifold. Should delete your EVAP while you are deleting stuff.

Most people use RTV and a penny. It costs a lot less and works just as well.

Im sure it's better to not have hot exhaust gas in your intake . Kinda funny to see people run egr with a intercooler

Imblocked at the lim with a penny and shut off via tuning. That why even if it's on to get the "ready" it won't dirty up my core.

I run an EGR with my intercooler at times.

And my e-test was damned clean too.

which end? the bit from the EGR to LIM? if so, yards should have plenty of them. $10 at most.

Just like that except with pennies haha, hack the tubes off on both sides, use some high temp rtv and seal up both sides of the penny and bolt it back on and bam, .02 cent egr delete!!

All I did when I deleted the EGR was, unplug the egr, remove the two mounting nuts holding the egr down, then welded the two holes closed. I didn't even take the hoses off or the mounting bracket. Just welded the holes closed on the bracket.

Nothing wrong doing it that way, the engine bay just looks a lot prettier without all that emissions junk in it.
