Did you try cleaning it (the MAF) and making sure the connector is clean and plugged in snugly?

I cleaned the old maf and it killed the car the second it was plugged in. The new maf sensor does the exact same thing. The connection is the problem though... when it connects to my maf it kills the car lol. But seriously, all the wiring to the sensor seems to be good. (Reading the correct Voltages)
Finally got around to screwing with it again... Found out it was indeed a bad MAF... they sent me a bad sensor. Just my luck, oh well.
