My Trac Off comes on; the RPM's shut off; then the oil light will come on followed by the battery then eventually the car shuts down....HELP.

    What is the PCO?
Do you think it may be a wheel sensor?

Where did you get pco from? And no theres no way it is a wheel sensor if the car is turning off by itself.

I meant PCM. There was another user that said it may be that.
It is not an immediate shut down. It is a slow die.
    Any thoughts?

The PCM stands for Powertrain Control Module. Or... The computer of your car. It controls everything in your car pretty much.

What year is your car? Does the rpm gauge needle go all the way up then fall back down. Does the car start right back up?

A bad wheel hub would cause your Traction Control Light to come on and stay on but it would not cause your car to turn off or die

    It is a 2002 GT.
No the RPM needle just falls down right after the Trac Off comes on.
The car will start back up. Sometimes right away sometimes after numerous attempts.

Do you have any codes? I mean it's really hard to tell what the problem would be by the facts that you've given us. And i understand that may be all you have to give us. Usually when the CPS (crank position sensor) goes out the rpm needle will do as i described.

I don't have any codes....sorry. It is at a shop to get this problem fixed but they can't replicate what is happening.
I had the catalytic converter replaced 2 weeks ago. Over this past weekend the battery was dead (bad battery).
It worked fine Sunday then Monday coming home it happened again. It started before I had the catalytic converter changed out.

At this point maybe so. Does anybody know if the tcs off light and the brake lights always come on if the engine stalls? The lights are whats throwing me off.

I know when mine stalls, there are no lights that come on. Not sure if it would be different on a GT.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Could be starting to get clogged and after so many miles down the road, it starts moving the crap around in the filter and slowly starts blocking the fuel. Just a thought. But the same here, the lights are throwing me off.

The order in which it happens is track off; oil light; battery....etc. then it dies.

Sounds to me like you have a failing CPS as mentioned above. But that is just my guess.

2 years ago I had a harness fire.
Do you think it could be the position of the commutator on the ignition switch?
Maybe some of the grease is gone...
