Hey guys, so my cargo net elastic thing you use to keep grocheries in place got closed in my trunk latch. I can hear the motor opening the trunk and it will not pop open. I put the key in the trunk and turned it and tried to force it open, no luck. So I squeezed my way into the trunk via the back seat opening haha, the net is deffentally stuck in there and I can't wiggle it out. I tried to pull on what looks like an emergency open lever and that wont work. any ideas?

the only alternative is to crawl in there and cut the net!

lol this is a very interesting thread i must say. probably a first. none of us can tell you what to do from experience so just be clever and figure it out. grab a flash light and do your best to cut and pull out what you can. get 1 other person to help you lift as you push from inside and release the trunk

there should be two bolts holding the lock latch, see if you can get to them.

at a part out the guy had no trunk key and thats how we go into it.

So i went in there again and pulled and tugged and cant get it out. I'm afraid if I cut it it will still be stuck and I wont have anything to pull with. There are two bolts holding the motor in place. I tried my 3/8ths and 7/16ths and one is too big and one is too small. I'm about to go to the store and get the 10mm and 11mm and unbolt the thing to get a better look and know what direction I need to pull to get it out.

So I went to Home Depot and bought a Metric Wrench set and took the latch/motor off the trunk, here is a pic with the cargo net all stuck inside:

And here is a pic of everything put back together when I am squeezed in the trunk:

haha, my guess it my golf bag must have knocked the top elastic band over the bar where the door latch grabs onto. Then when I shut the door, it latched the net inside
