When I remove the transmission inspection plate I think thats what its called, is there a seal I need to look out for and or replace? Will clearly see where to clamp the vice grip or are there parts of the flywheel I dont want to touch. Im sure Ill know once I crack it open but im just trying to get as much knowledge as possible prior to tear down.

Nope. No seals or anything there. Just the bottom of the flywheel is visible, along w/ maybe part of the torque converter if you look up inside far enough. Yes, you will clearly see where to clamp it. You will see the teeth on the outer edge of the flywheel and then the flat inner part. Clamp on the flat part and don't knick the teeth of the flywheel.

Nothing wrong with asking if you are unfamiliar with something. You only get into issues when you DON'T ask questions

A lot of stuff takes a while to do it right, as my old boss said- Speed comes with time and experience. It's when you hurry that you screw things up.

I agree. There's nothing more satisfying to say, "Hey, I just fixed that myself and it works!"
