Re: Bought this car as a investment, good or bad idea?
I don't have to read what car you purchased to tell you that purchasing it as an investment is foolish.
Granted, some are better than others, but all are bad investments.
Buy your car because you like it, and drive it like you stole it. That is the only investment these can offer - an investment into your happiness. The financial aspect of them is worse than detroit real-estate.

You have got to be kidding me the Richest people in Detroit are in real-estate? Umm I believe you have Detroit confused with Miami or somewhere in a Arizona. Detroit is pretty much giving away buildings!

Do an ebay trial run with a price you would be very happy with and see what happens. As to cars being a bad investment.... I have made qwite a bit of money in the past year getting good deals and DD'ing them till they sell. He will be able to profit for sure just dont buy a ram with a 8" lift on 35" mudders. I did break even lol

My great uncle does real-estate here and I'm pretty sure his net worth is close to 100m. Also the guy that owns the property where my dealership is has money coming out of his ass from real-estate. Trust me if you got money and know what your doing there's plenty of money in Michigan.

Try to find a "10 worst real estate markets in the US" list without Detroit in it. I stopped at the 5th hit (all having Detroit) before considering my statement justified.
CNBC, MSN, Fox, CNN, Business Insider etc all agree with me. They are worst in the nation with office vacancy (at least last year). You can also google "worst places to live in the US" and see what you find as well. My guess is that Detroit is commonplace in those lists as well.
But, back on topic, cars are for driving and not investments. My $0.02.

Are you talking about the city of Detroit or the Detroit Metro Area? I live in the Detroit Metro area and trust me it's not hurting as much as you would think. There are subs a half a mile from me with a million plus houses. What the list says and what I know to be a fact are too different things, trust me there's a lot of money in real-estate here if you know what your doing. You keep reading about it on the internet and I'll keep doing what I'm doing.

There's a lot of money in (insert anything here) if you know what you're doing. That's a platitude.
In general, the Detroit and Detroit Area real-estate markets are by any objective (or subjective I would argue) metric bad.
Regardless, if you're happy there, more power to you :)

Detroit is bad maybe, sure, the Detroit Metro area, not so much.

Ah that was a bugatti this is a Grand Prix. There's a huge difference. Bugatti's are collectors or people are willing to spendthe coin to get one. He bought a Grand Prix :th_laugh-lol3:
No Grand Prix will ever be an investment. You can polish a turd as much as you want it's still a turd. My advice to the OP is flip it now as in put it on craigslist, eBay, etc. today.

A daytona with 33,000 miles in good condition is by no means a turd to people who love this platform. Yes its a Grand Prix but he got it at a good price with room to make cash. How do you think car dealers stay up. Getting cars at a good deal and then selling them no different here. by the sounds of things he by no means has a turd

There's always an idiot out there who will pay $7,000+ for a car that is 11 years old and will need parts replaced. It doesn't matter how low of miles it has on it. Age plays a role in having to replace mechanical parts too. My phrase polishing a turd had more to do with it still being a Grand Prix no matter how many special names you throw at.

Because an 11 yearold car is just unheard of to be a decent car. ANYWAY to me Grand Prixs arent turds just because its not a ZR1 or some **** doesnt make it a turd. On that note this dude will make cash and sell it for a decent price since he got it for a damn good one. Makes no one an idiot.

As I said in my previous post the person who buys it is an idiot. You obviously don't understand my turd comment. Apparently your reading comprehension is on a middle school level. :th_laugh-lol3:

Hmm so the person that buys it is an idiot because you say so? I understand your turd comment just fine I just think that is flat out dumb. Theres people out there that want a Daytona and would love one with 33,xxx miles but that makes them an idiot because you say so and your just king ****. On this lovely note your annoying. Oh and apparently your right about my reading level because somone doesnt have the stupid view you do and thats hard for you to comprehend.

:th_laugh-pointup:
nope you still don't understand it.
And yes someone is an idiot for paying $7K for a GRAND PRIX or any car for that matter that is 11 years old. You obviously would, so I see how you are getting butthurt over the comment. And newsflash this is a public forum everyone is gonna post their opinions, infact the OP asked for them. Pull the sand out of your vagina and relax. Not everyone is going to agree with you just like some won't agree with me. I must admit it's been fun watching you get riled up over something so stupid. Thanks for playing please drive thru. :th_laugh-lol3:
