Fitment should be alright, but I don't think the air bags are the same.

...You're really thinking about disconnecting the airbags? That's the worst thing you can do.

I don't believe keeping the airbag is possible. Although someone did look into moving from an 00 Regal to a newer LaCrosse/Lucerne for me and he mentioned that the splines are different. I really need to pull both and take a look
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

No, because the paddle shifters are wired into the TAPShift specific transmission that is only on TAPshift cars.

After being in a wreck where the airbags saved the lives of my girlfriend an I....

I'll take an uglier steering wheel so my face doesn't meet the dash board when someone pulls out in front of you and you can't stop in time.

    /hijack...continue.

If you disconnect the airbags and get in an accident, your insurance WILL NOT pay your medical bills.

Having a cool-looking steering wheel may be....well cool, but IMO it's NOT worth the risk you are taking by disconnecting the airbags. May look cool driving around town, but I guarantee that when you plant your face into it at 50-60MPH it won't look so cool. Looks are nice, but your face, and maybe even your life, are much better to have than a cool looking steering wheel.
