Alright I just bought another GTP 2 door 99. When you look at the motor it is sitting down on the left side like it is tilted. Tranny mount, motor mount? The Speedo does not work at all? Is it a cable or is it electronic on these cars? I replaced the CV joint passenger side today and there are 3 bolt holes that have nothing in them where you insert the CV joint. Is that right? Another thing It shifts abrubtly in every gear whereas my 98 is real smooth. I am betting that is all tied in to one thing because like I said the motor looks tilted to the left.

The tilting issue is the hydraulic engine mount is toasted....you will need to replace this as soon as you can.

Speedo issue could be a bad speed sensor, bad connector or something. There are no cables that drive the speedometer.

Where is the hydraulic engine mount located and is this a big job? Where is the speed sensor located?

Its not a big job replacing the mount. You'll have to raise up that side of the motor with a floor jack or something to clear the bolt studs of the mount and getting to the nuts that are inside the bracket is tedious but if you take your time it can be done.

Speed sensor is located in the differential housing of the transmission on the passenger side. Its the only sensor that is connected to the transmission on that side.
