Bought it from advanced this morning for $212 with some 15% off deal they are having. Not bad. Anyways i got it because i will be tackling taking my engine out this weekend. No more taking my Impy to the mechanics and spending Nearly $1000s just for engine removal and replacements. Other than the ***** bolt in the back (which i have my extensions ready for it, will i run into problems? Thanks for any responds guys.

Upon re-install, leave the ***** bolt out, that way you never have to deal with it again.

Go to Sears. Buy an extension that's 24 or 36" in length. Problem solved for the rest of your life. Put the bolt back in..it's not even tough if you have the right tools.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Ok cool was just about to ask if it was safe to leave the bolt out untill i seen your post dyno lol.

@blue no it isnt broke i want to remove it because i have a slight ticking ever since the engine went in and goes away when the engine warms up.

So i started to take apart my engine and removing bolts by following this guide http://www.grandprixforums.net/how-p...yle-47220.html. I get to step 13 aka the ***** bolt and mine is missing. I guess the shop that replaced my motor back in january didnt put it back in. Is this good or bad?

    13. Look along the back of the engine toward the transmission, see the 18mm bolt. Using the long extensions and a deep 18mm socket, remove that bolt. The long socket will hold the bolt.

I've heard that this bolt isn't necessary, but I could be wrong.

Well the car has been good since the engine went in January of this year and that bolt seemed to have not been in it. Guess i shouldn't worry then. I just have the 4 bolts Holding the engine to the trans inside the engine bay , flex plate bolts, and rear sd header bolts to remove and ill be pulling it out tomorrow morning.

smh so i pulled my engine this morning and what do i see???

Yep thats right a cracked flex plate. So me thinking my engine blew was over exaggerated and wrong. Im kinda of glad and sad. Anyways I put my spare engine in and swapped parts and will be finishing up tomorrow along with my friends car. This engine will be put to the side so i can get a stronger flex plate, bolts, and work on it.
