Oh yea well I have both
Ported blower = $30 worth of bits, if that.

    But you still go fastest.

FWIW that article wasnt in my OP.

And i would never pay $500 for a zzp port job, maybe 1HP more than doing it myself.

I'm no longer picking on ZZP.

I'm picking on value in general.

    Uh they give reasons...

MSD wires dont have enough resistance to be useful.

    Thus stock is best.

When going for their top dyno, they changed out the wires to find the optimal resistance... Netted power.

I have no complaints about my MSD wires...they've served their purpose VERY well. I've had them off PLENTY of times without any misfire issues.

As for the best bang for you buck now days...I'd do it over again this way...blower wise...

    SD Headers ~$200
    PRJ FP Re-Wire~$50....?idk...
    60lb injectors~$300
E85 it...which is saving you money compared to gas prices
    Open Cone ~$30
DHP Tuner ~$250+ or HPT ~$400+
    ZZP MPS + 3.2" or lower pulley...$100~
DIY Ported Blower...if you have tools...free
DIY Ported LIM and Matched runners...free
    DIY Ported TB...if you have tools again...free...if not...dremel + bits...probably around $100~
    Used slicks or DR's...$200~?

So...for around the cost of a stage 2 IC kit from ZZP or so there...You'd be sitting EASILY in the mid to high 200's WHP wise...and with the right driver and dialed in tune...easily 12's IMO.

Local guy has like $1.8K i think for EVERYTHING
    slicks
    headers
    xp
    nitrous
    pulley
low 12's keeps up with/beats a turbo car.

But N20 is cheating. Blue your plans are pretty much the same as mine, but with moar tranny mods.

How local? I read on of your posts that said your 14.5 second ride is the fastest grand prix in your town.

It probably is. I meant local to nebraska, he's in a different small town. Just checked with him, mid 12's with DA over a mile. 11's easy on a good day.

FWIW I'm pretty sure he's changed his setup.

His car is pushing such a big shot of nitrous that it equates to probably more than 1/3 of his hp.
