possibly a small leak, but then you'd have a little 'tick' at idle.

Cat could be on its way out....

But then again, everytime I mashed the gas in my GT, it'd smell that way.

if it smells sweet, your head gasket is going.

Headgaskets very rarely go out on these cars. Is the smell like a rotten egg, or nasty smell?

    1. At WOT you are likely traveling so fast that you can't smell anything but the sewage plant you are passing.
    2. The exhaust should exit out the rear of the car. Unless you are WOT in reverse, or have a huge loud leak in the front...you should never be able to smell the exhaust
    3. I dislike Wenly for not knowing our engine before suggesting such a thing.
    4. Airflow.. see #1 and choose a different road for your WOT runs.
    5. You likely need to check your valve cover gaskets. But see #1.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
