What can be the reason my gas gauge doesnt work? and every once in a while my RPM gauge stays down, i have to re-start the car for it to work. Can it be the gauge cluster or what can it be. My main concern is the gas gauge . It's a 1998 GP GT.

Lol his car has an automatic transmission, why would he be more concerned about the tachometer than the gas gauge? Whatttt?

because it might not be the gas gauge that's the problem.

does your trac light come on when the tac goes down? and does the fuel gauge needle move at all?

my guesses without knowing your answers, crankshaft position sensor is why the tac shuts off while driving. and to fix your fuel gauge (common problem)watch this.. ‪Pontiac Bonneville Fuel Sender Replacement -- PART 1‬‏ - YouTube

If the tach is dropping, does the car stall? CPS time
