Hey does anybody know if when your car has been sitting out in the heat all day 110f to 120f. Does this have any effect on the transmissions shifting? I went to accelerate quickly from 0 to 40mph and after I got over 40mph before going into 3rd it just revved higher and didn't accelerate anymore. I read this feature is built into the cars to prevent damage from the heat is this true? After I got home and let my car sit for about 15 minutes I took it for another spin with no issues and still haven't had another issue since (5 days now also the temperature is now around 86f) common issue?

110/120f is cold for an automatic transmission, they operate at around 180f and up.
You could be low on fluid, have you check the fluid level?

Have you checked your fluid level? How many miles are on the car? Have you ever had the tranny serviced? If not, prolly a good time to swap out fluids and put in a new filter.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

how many miles are on it, how many miles since your last flush, is the fluid full and healthy?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Ya I believe it was done during my last oil change a month or so ago 186000 kms (114000 miles). I have another thing that just happened this morning, I had my abs, stability light and my traction control light all come on at the same time... I recently had wheel bearing work, control arm work, and brake work done roughly 3 weeks ago. Just a sensor or something worse?

Hard to know without scanning it with something like a Tech II or Snap-On scanner that can read codes outside of the PCM, like the EBCM (electronic brake control module)
