No, I don't believe it will. I think the series III alts are different.

Some are clutchless...some or not. The ones with clutches will NOT work...and they are easy to spot...as the pulley is covered and the bolt isnt exposed.

Actually the '99+ Alternators might work as long as they are clutchless ones.

If you want higher amperage look into a rebuild company that does them.

thank you, I do have my alt rebuilt to 220 amps, but that won't handle 3500+ watts... I found a 320 amp made for a 95 bonneville with a 3800 for sale. Thank yall for the help!

You can probably get something to work with some custom fab work. They are all similar. They won't bolt up directly. But you may be able to change things like the tensioner bracket to an older or newer style and get it to work. Just have to have the mounting holes in the right places.

But for a direct bolt in, there isn't much newer or older that will work.

It has a 4 pin plug, but it's square and it looks like you can plug in my harness either way

I also saw a large case gm ad244 and I read it was a replacement for what I have now. Is there a website I can cross reference alts?
