Ok guys, I can get a 2004 supercharged grand prix GTP ,stage 3 motor BUT it has almost 200,000 on it, highway miles, my pal's wife's car. SUPER DUPER CLEAN & took care of for $5000. My question IS > Is it really worth getting with such high milage even though it's been babied ? What am I looking at for problems & how hard is a motor rebuild if I did get it ? Thanx guys, I am a newb on these cars. I have a 69 el Camino, LOL !

Its not a "stage 3", its a 3800 series III meaning that the motor is the third in the 3800 series... HUGE DIFFERENCE!

To be honest, $5000 might be high for the car, but you'll have to book it to know for sure. It's probably going to need a transmission before it needs a motor.

Interior/exterior is what you need to consider when you look at a high mileage car like that. Also stuff like suspension / steering maintiance that has been done... If there was alot of work done replacing the "high mileage wear parts" then you should be all set.
