My car needs a new maf and I was wanting to go with something that might help the performance a little.

So what are the opinions on this one
    ZZ Performance

Is there anything else someone might recommend for close to the price of that one.

copy the part # off the top of the maf sensor and call a few junk yards or look it up on ebay, yards sell them for around 40 bucks and give you a 30 day warranty on it.

i cant see spending hundreds on a new maf ever, unless i hit the lotto that is.

Ok but id rather go ahead and get a brand new one than a used one.....The one on rock auto was over 400 for the acdelco.....where should I look for a new one at a decent price

Is it possible to just buy the little sensor that plugs into the housing?

A new one is the same as a used one...and can go out just as soon. Why waste the money?

    New MAF's are expensive, period. It's 150 bucks+ for a stocker IIRC.

Doesn't get any easier than this: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

morad sells used car parts for w bodys. so it would be a used maf. if they warranty it at all, you will have to pay the shipping back on fourth if its no good, local is the way to go.

you should really just call a local junk yard and be done with it, most jy will only charge around 40 bucks for it with a warranty of 30 days or more.

Go to the local pull and pray and snag one. Chances are you can walk out with it. $0.00 FTW
