    2000 GP GT. i

When i turn the wipers on intermitten, they come on and stay on, as if they werent in the intermitten positions at all. When i go to turn the wipers off, they will turn off (when they are good and ready to turn off hahahahaha). Reading up on this issue, some have mentioned about the motor or transmission in the wiper motor, and some have mentioned the switch.
Is there a process of elimination to determine which is it??

the wipers started this issue a couple months ago, and gradually getting worse to the point now the wipers would turn off after several cycles after the switch was put in the off position LoL

Odd, I'd think it's the switch. Haven't heard much on them not turning off though.

(So I'm bumping the thread back up to the top)

Could be the board on the motor. Mine in the intermittent position pause in the middle of the windshield then go again. IN low or high position they work fine. I'm sure its the same thing causing both of our issues.

sounds about the same. in the Low and High speed positions, they work fine, untill i go to turn them off. They'll turn off as they are suppose to, but after about a dozen cycles or so. sometimes they turn off right when i turn the switch to off, as if it were a perfectly brand new car, but that doesnt happen very often. in the state of Virginia, we get rain about weekly, so i cant sleep on this too too long.
I did notice that when i go to turn the wipers off, that sometimes, though rare, they will abrubtly stop anywhere they **** well please to stop.

So lets have a Vote! motor or switch should be replaced first?

Mine have developed an issue where I turn it on to the lowest speed, and it goes intermittent like the OP said. It doesn't change speed no matter which setting I put it to, and if i shut if off it randomly does it like 4-7 cycles later.

Going to run a better search and investigate, i'm sure someone else has had the same problem.

EDIT: This is somewhat familiar.....I'll probably just end up buying the motor and everything from a parts car and it should go away lol.
