A buddy of mine is doing a ls-1 swap into his v6 firebird, and is giving me any parts I want or can use for helping him with the swap. What can be used from the series 2 N/A 3800 to be put on a GTP? Anything?

I'd check to see if any of the accessories are the same like the water pump, alt, or anything of that nature. Could save you some money in the future. Would be cool if the pulleys were smaller and you were able to run a underdrive setup. Don't know about that though. But, anything like that though, I'd check and see if they have the same part #'s and hold on to all you can.

Awesome lol...the 3.8 in the f-body and the 3.8 in the gp gt's are the same "k" code engine (gtp's are "1" code). Just wondering if the exhaust manifolds would fit off of it, that way I could do some port work on the mani's

in all honesty. the blocks are the same as GP GT's, it has a different oil pan for the Fbody K-member, different oil filter housing.

your best bet. get the UIM and sell it to a turbo guy for his build. other than that...it is all the same motor.

see if you can snag the wiring harness, and computer. then give me a pm. :-)

they are different as well. the manifolds do not have a crossover, but go int a Y-pipe under the car. both manifolds point down.
