    so i found this 04 grand prix on craigslist,not too much info besides 167k, new trans put in a year ago, small dent on passenger door. car is in the city pound

    asking for $2500 (not sure if that covers impound fees)

    good idea? anything that might go wrong next with so many miles?

    thats not alot of miles at all. just normal maintence stuff is what go;s wrong, if it was kept up, its perfectly fine to me.

    you may have to go to court and pay the owners fines to get the car out, dont give this guy any money till you see court papers for a release of the car, have the title in had at the yard if he has the paper work.

    a lot of times people try to sell their car for the impound fees just so it stops building a higher bill for storage, but some city's will make the new owner pay this guys fines before you can get the car out of impound.

    and the car needs current ins and registration to drive it out of the yard or it must be towed out.
