Ok so this is my first post here. This site has been tremendously helpful already. I love my car, and its clear you all do too.
But on to what this is all about. I am a college student with less than 500 dollars to my name. Because of this, I'm looking for some fun, free (or nearly free) modifications for my 02 grand prix gt. Does anyone know of anything decent?

I don't want something that is going to blow up my car, and I've already checked out the "safely modding...." thread. I recently cut my stock airbox (looking at replacing it with a cone) but are there more mods like that out there?

Flip the dog bone bushing. Make yourself a custom open cone, look under parts for sale and there is a link in a thread to a very nice cone for 20 bucks on ebay. Do an intake for less than 40 bucks. And if you know someone with a welder, cut out the u-bend. That would make small noticeable improvements.

    Link added for cone. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-9...item56420dc53f

Engine bay on my '98 daily...

Also...keep in mind...the open cone and u-bend delete would probably be it for me...I'd tint the windows if you haven't and use the rest for booze money...get a car you can mod after college when your makin' bank.

Look under how to safely mod your 3800... it describes it's purpose and how to in there. Even had pictures!
