Anyone have a picture of know which O Rings to use on the back of the AC Compressor? I tried to use the same type that came off the old compressor but apparently I am leaking freon from the O rings there. I took the ones that looked like the ones that were there before but it leaked, I tried another pair but it still looks like it is leaking slower.

I bought a bag like this here:

Item # MT2540, Rapid Seal Kit Application Guide on FMSI

I see another one here which is just one:

    1997-2005 Pontiac Grand Prix A/C O-Ring and Gasket Seal Kit - 4-Seasons 26728

Which one is the right one? It does not seem to fit flush right now. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    JMorton

The first link looks right. Are you using the washers or the o-rings. If your using the o-rings then that's your problem, you need to use the washers. FYI any gm sealing washer can be used as long as they are the correct size.

    I found a chart here:

    http://www.4s.com/Upload/Four%20Seas...%20SEASONS.PDF

Yeah I used the washer but it looks like its still leaking so want to be sure I am using the correct washer.

I also read that some of the GM vehicles may need more freon then 1.88LB sticker but not sure mine is affected. It does not seem as cold today as it was yesterday when I pulled a vaccum and refilled.

I hope I just used the wrong O-Ring. I wonder if I torqued it too much as well that page says about 25lbs

So the hose I have on my car is here:

    FOUR SEASONS A/C Hoses,56180 - BestValueAutoParts.com

Trying to find which washer from here to use:

    http://www.4s.com/Upload/Four%20Seas...%20SEASONS.PDF

I guess I should measure like it says and use the correct washers. I really am not sure why I am having issues with the washer.
