    highlighted in green, top left of the picture. this line on my car is snapped a little after it loops down from where the belt diagram is, and appears to be broken down further near the battery too... looks like it goes into some type of connector then branches out. probably did it changing my battery.. :\

    That line goes into the passenger fender area to the front of the car then lays on the bumper and routes to the vacuum ball under the driver side fender.

    That would be the vacuum canister that is usually located in teh front drivers fender.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    That's your HVAC vacuum line. The other guys are correct, it goes from the vacuum port on the blower to a splitter and then down to the vacuum ball on the driver side

    ahh. thanks guys. and i feel really stupid for asking, but what exactly does it do? and would the break explain the whistle-type noise i hear when accelerating when my engine is cold/just started up? i dont know anything about the vaccum system. >.<

    Possible it could make that sound, but more so it will mess with the blend door functions. You might have a slight vacuum leak for it being broken aswell.

    Yeah without a connection to the engine your blend doors won't operate.
