    Hi Everyone,
I have a constant 'chirping' under the hood that runs slower or faster as the engine RPM's go. I am fairly certain it is the tensioner pulley.

    03', 3800 engine.
The Haynes manual only covers removal of the whole housing, causing me the mess with the cooling system.

My Question; Can I remove the bolt that holds the pulley on without effecting the housing and causing a water leak?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Just get a breaker bar and a 15mm socket on there and remember its reverse threaded. I did this on mine last week. Took all of 5 min.
