You might as well just run muffler-less if you put that thing in there.

First and foremost...it is a 3800...it is always going to sound like crap no matter what muffler your using. But think Borla, Corsa, SLP, Magnaflow...

    Not really.

I have catless Pacesetter's with a long glasspack and a universal muffler style like he posted. I also have a huge cam so it makes up for the crap noise the 3800 makes. Also...I don't have any rasp...I need a new video of it with my new camera...I also had no rasp with just the glasspack before I put the "muffler" on it.

    Borla 40653 Universal Performance Mufflers

these good? Im not sure about the size though. I think i read that bout inlet and outlet are supposed to be 2 1/4 for stock pipes. Does the length matter?

I just got this, had it completely welded and installed at a local shop, along with the U-bend delete. I love the sound. I painted it with 2000 degree Exhaust paint before I had it installed too. I live in Michigan, so I painted the exhuast, not the tips, to slow down rust.
