hiii... i seem to be having an issue.
It all started this winter, i was going a little too fast and popped a curb denting my rim. Ive since replaced my rim, tire, and wheel bearing. The problem I'm having is this knocking/creaking noise i have on my driver side front now. It doesn't do it when the car is in park, it has to be in a driving gear. It is very obvious just sitting still with my foot firmly on the brake at a red light (wheel straight or turned). When i take my foot off the brake and coast, it doesn't do it. Its like a continuous tapping somewhere. I know i probably jacked something up, i just cant find anything loose down there.
ALSO, pretty strange, i attempted to change my CV shaft while i was doing my wheel bearing. When i removed the shaft, it came off in female form. That is there was a splined section sticking about 2 inches out of the side of my tranny... So i put the old one back on as i couldn't get the protrusion out of my tranny. Not too sure if thats normal or could be causing this...
