When it's dark out and I unlock my car I'd like my headlights to illuminate rather than my fog lights. Actually I'd like the parking lights, headlights and reverse lights to come on like on some older Pontiacs and other GM vehicles.

As many of you know, the reverse and fog lights come on and I'm tired of 1. People telling me I left my car in reverse when I get out at night. Dude's boss at the car wash screamed on him cuz it was cloudy so when he got out of my car his boss thought he left the car in reverse! 2. People are always jumping outta the way when I unlock at night and they're walking behind my car. 3. I've seen the GP's without fog lights and it uses the headlights so I assume it can be done. Anyone know how?

I know you can reprogram it so the lights dont turn on at all...look through your manual.

Yeah I know how to do that thru the DIC, was just wondering if theres a way to change the output. I like the illumination, helps when parking in dark places. I know with my Saab I needed a tech2 tool to change some functions like how many times the lights flash when I lock or unlock and other stuff.

I'm kinda a sarcastic jerk at times, but I have the GM FSM's. I could look up what you are asking.....if I knew what the heck you have.

Year and model are sometimes key info.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I've got an 00 GP and I hate that my headlights flash, especially since I'm gonna get hids down the road. I wanna relocate the flash to the parking lights and tail lights.
