I am not too sure on this topic and was probably was already solved but I read somewhere that Dex-Cool will cause a LIM gasket leak. There was a lawsuit about it I guess, And you can get some money back from having to repair that problem. Has anyone done this?

You are out of luck man....It's not totally the Dex-cool's fault that your LIM gasket leaked. The major problem with Dex-cool was it sludging up and clogging stuff up in the system. It isn't good for as long as they say it is.. They made the LIM gasket out of plastic which was pretty dumb. Between the two you will get a leak at some point. They won't cover the repair, you've gotta do it yourself it really isn't all that bad though. All the replacements are metal now so you shouldn't see the problem again even if you stick with Dex.

Well I'm glad that its a one time fix. I can see puddles of coolant near my injectors and where the gasket is. Well, it needs to be done. Hopefully soon! Thanks for the info.

If you can see it right there then its probably coming from the Upper gasket as well and seeping through between the plastic upper plenum and the LIM

Hmm, then my car has some major gasket replacing to be done! I can also see the Blower/SC gasket torn also from a tab that is sticking out in the back. ^^

You'll be able to tell what you need when you tear it apart. I'd just buy the Felpro kit to do the Lower gasket, and hold off on buying the upper gasket until you get it off and see how it looks. I reused mine, but I'm cheap.

I've watched that video twice already. I really want to do it by myself but still a little worried I will mess something up hehe

its only a one time fix if you use an aluminum LIM gasket.
