I've had this problem ever since I got the car but it really isn't that big of a deal, just something I would like to fix if it's easy to help clean the windows on those summer nights when all the bugs are just going SPLAT. None of the windshield washer fluid seems to come out've the windsheild wipers when I hold on the button I will try forever but nothing is coming out. Is there things I can check or do to find out the problem? Is this a easy fix for me I don't have a lot of car knowledge but can follow instructions easy if given to me.

Pump is probably bad. Costs like 15 bucks to fix.

The pump is right in front of the front passenger wheel behind the cover in the wheel well.

The first thing I would do is listen to see if you hear the pump motor running when you try. If not, then indeed you need a motor or a fuse may have popped. If you hear the motor then pull the fluid line before it gets to the wipers and see if fluid comes out when you activate the pump. If so, then you may have a line clogged in the wiper arm. If not then the line is clogged before that point.

Most likely though, pump motor is shot or fuse is blown.

Make sure you don't mistake the wiper motor for the windshield washer fuild motor. Might be good to have someone push and hold the switch for you while you go listen in front of the passenger side front wheel. Also like Scotty said, if you don't hear it running check the fuse before you replace the motor.

How do you change it. Do you have to take out the battery first?
If my pics are not working, please email me, I may have moved the pics on a different page on Photobucket. Thanks

According to the wiring schematic, there is a fuse for the windshield wiper fluid motor. It should be in the under-the-hood fuse box.

ok well i checked the fuse box both in and out of the car, and there is no fuse for just the washer pump, so my guess is its just dead....

Thats odd, the schematic shows one there. Oh well.

If you need to replace the motor, you'll have to pull out your inner fenderwell liner to get access to it as the reservoir and pump motor are tucked in behind the passenger side fender.

Oh crap, yes it was. Im sorry about that, I should have asked as the 97 setup is a bit differnet. 97's seem to be the step children of the GP lineup, so perhaps my wiring schematic. I completely blew off the fact you put your model year in your signature. If I had done as I should have and paid attention to that I would have responded differently.
