Has anyone on here done it before? I have to replace mine after my blunder a few nights ago. I was on my way to a call and when I went to slow down to park I hit a dip and hit the bottom of the support and now my radiator is bent in a bit not to mention a dent in my subframe. Replacing the subframe is not a problem, but I know the rad support my be an issue. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Is it something a big slide hammer could pull out? Might get away with just pulling it back into shape instead of hassling w/ replacing the entire thing. I do believe that the rad. support is spot welded in place at factory. Never taken one of these apart that far though.

It's possible that it could be pulled out. Just thinking of it in a safety sense. I'll take a better look at it when the snow clears up again.

I'd pull out the rad and get a block of wood and BFH. Hit the wood many times to slowly reshape the support .
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You are the man. That will save me a trip for now, at least until I come down for the sub-frame and header install we talked about on nepontiac! Thanks Bill.

Yup I just gotta give you the money, and I have to finish cutting and welding the speed daddys. I'm slightly out of your delivery range otherwise I would have done that aspect myself.

No biggie.. we'll be pulling two of the four bolts anyhow. After that it's the control arms, a 10mm for the ps lines, and the 4 nuts holding the mounts to the drivetrain.

    It's cake..

Remind me though.. you are Jim the guy scheduled for the 26th right? I'll make sure and get the sub this or next week.

Nope I'm Aaron, we haven't scheduled yet. I gotta find time off or it would have to be a weekend thing. My biggest issue is finding the time to finish the headers.
