After finding I had a crack in my rim and having it fixed, I noticed that my front end wobbles were not dampened any...

So guessing the previous owner had hit a pot hole, or knocked it with a curb pulling in somewhere, I'm deciding on doing some front end repairs...

I also had my ABS light come on recently, but I did a quickie check, and the ABS sensor wire was ripped out of the wheel bearing!!

So after tooling around on ZZP and RockAutos' websites, I have come up with the following parts/repairs -

    ZZP -

    Supercharger Coupler
    VIN :
    Option 1:2 GM S/C Oil 8 oz.
    Option 2:none selected $44.98 $44.98

    Stage 1 axles
    VIN :
    Model:One pair of HD axles $174.99 $174.99

    Sub Total: $219.97 + Shipping

    RockAuto -

    2003 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP 3.8L 231cid V6 FI Supercharged (1) OHV

    BOSCH Wire Set Part # 09457 $20.99

Transmission ANCHOR Part # 2712 Hydraulic Mount Trans. $20.79

Engine ANCHOR Part # 2796 Hydraulic Mount Front $26.79

    AUTOLITE Part # XP606 Xtreme Performance OE Style; Gap .060 $4.46 x6 = $26.76

Axle Bearing and Hub Assembly TIMKEN Part # 513179 Includes ABS Sensor FrontB $89.79 x2 = $179.58

    DEEZA Part # PNB603 OE Type; Front Inner Tie Rod $6.62 x2 = $13.24

    CHASSIS Part # AXES3453 Front Outer Tie Rod $7.13 x2 = 14.26

    Total Shipped = $337.75

I guess a question I would have is, how hard would it be to drop the tranny with the mounts and axles out of the way?

Reason I ask is because I would love to get into the tranny just enough to get to the flexplate and change it out...

I guess another question I would have is, what else would you do as far as other parts, suggestions on the repair, or what not to do.

One last question would be, who wants to help!! $$$

Thanks fellas, these forums have infinite wisdom!! (if you use the search box correctly)

None of the stuff you have planned would make you get to the point of taking out the trans.

However. If you pop the balljoints to do the axles, and have the trans drained ... pull the subframe out fo the way and the trans is about 15 more bolts to drop out.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Thanks for the reply....

So if I was to replace the control arms, it would make life easier in the way of tranny dropping?

I need to purchase the FSM for this car.

I suppose I thought ZZP "stock" would be a nicer pair of axles?

    Thanks for the insight.

    Napa = $80 a pair

the stage 1 axles are only nice because they have grease fittings on them, the stock ones dont.

Grease fittings are always a good thing, right?

The "Solid rubber" ones ZZP sells?

    Motor

    Trans

I want to ensure there is NO added vibration with these...I tried a a few "solid dog-bones" on my wifes Cavalier, and the vibration was a no-go...

    The tranny one looks nice...

    Thanks for all the replys.
