    I need to make a spare - does my the Key in my 2003 GT Limited Edition have a chip in it?
    '97 GT Coupe '99 GT Coupe '06 GT Sedan
    Past cars include '76 Grand Prix, 1993 SE Sedan, '97 GT Sedan 01 SE Sedan '03 GT Sedan Limited Edition

    Is it a PK3 key? If so you have a chip.

    If you want a spare key for nothing but to unlock your doors with then you don't need a chip in it.

    Its an 03, so you should definitely have PK3. And if they tell you they need to charge you $35 to program it, tell them "No, thank you". You just need to start the car with your original key and then start it with your new key and viola, the key is programmed.

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    Holy Crap $35 to program... its soo simple my boss and I just program it as a courtesy and to make sure it rolls over smooth/won't jam

    It is straight forward to program the key and remote. My brother has an all in one key for his 03 and I programmed it with no issues. These links will help you out.
