    Okay well my car started misfiring really bad the other day and a code came up that said cylinder 4 misfire. so i pulled the plug and heres what it looked like



    What could cause the plug to look like this
    2002 Grand Prix GT- top swap soon
    1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP-project/parts

    3.4 pulley, intense tune, SD headers, intake, 180 tstat, al104's

    cant see the picture at work, but if the plug is bent/broken/etc. then it only happens when you chip a piston because something was bouncing around in the cylinder.

    mods? tune?

    usually MELTED plugs come from running way low timing with really high cylinder temperatures. this comes from excessive knock retard or running too small of a pulley with low timing.

    Are you running a fuel additive. I cant tell if its ash deposit or Melted

    How many miles do you have on those AL104's?

    I'd say install fresh plugs all around, gapped properly and then scan.

    i dont use fuel additives. and my mods are 3.4 pulley, sd headers, 180 tsat, intense tune, al 104's, and exhaust.
    Oh and all the other plugs are fine its just cylinder 4. and they were changed early december

    My buddy says that its coolant burnt onto it. So would that mean my LIM is leaking?

    idk.. could i possibly be a really slow coolant leak? or could it just be a melted plug..

    I posted a while back about burning coolant. Haven't bothered to change the gaskets yet, and the plugs look a heck of a lot better than that.
