Actually they all have the bulb...
They only made one screen, but the buttons and trac/tcs lights were different.
My GT when will tuned it the boost section lit up and functions just like a GTP.
All you've gotta do is use a GTP bin.
I wouldnt worry about it.
You can see PERF SHIFT in the DIC and on the instrument panel as well if you look close enough.
Even if you have a late model car which it didn't come in like mine.
Oh thanks for the response. so in order for my boost meter to light up I have to have a fast car like yours? Haha. Don't laugh please, but I think it would be cool if I could enable it..for looks I guess, is there a way?
Crap. I apologize. I didn't fully read your post. What's a gtp bin? Sorry total noob here
its the file that the GTP computer (called PCM here) uses.
oh i see. What do you guys use to tune your cars? Is it expensive stuff? I have a shop that tunes cars and dynos and what not near by....you think they could swap out the GT file for the GTP? Does it F anything up?
Yes it will. The GTP is supercharged, which is what the boost gauge is all about. Your GT is not. If you just dump the PCM files from a supercharged engine into one that isn't all manner of bad things are bound to happen.
You should only run the GTP file if you have a GTP or supercharge your GT. your GT is Naturally aspirated so you wont see any boost, which makes it pointless to have a boost guage. And yes a dyno tune would be good, especially compared to a mail order tune. you should get some other mods first though.
