Hey guys, Ive had a pretty bad oil leak since ive bought my car. I go through a quart of oil every week. Ive replace the valve cover gaskets already and i think its time to do the oil pan gasket. From what ive noticed, im going to have to lift the motor a little to get to all of the bolts. So the question is.... how do i do this? Do I need to buy a engine hoist? Or can i do it with a jack? Please help....

normally youd lift the motor using the oil pan, so that's not an option here. you can use a cherry picker or you can just drop the subframe a little and hold the motor where it is.

Jack up on the pan..support from the top then drop the sub a little.

You can't really use a hoist.. where are you going to lay if the legs of the hoist are in the way?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If i were to buy the picker, would i have to unbolt anything to lift it? Like the dogbones, motor mount, trans mount, the trans itself?

Get a trans verse engine support bar. Remove the dog bones, remove the two lower engine mount nuts and lift it up with the support bar. And then drope the passenger side of the sub frame a bit.
