    97 Grand Prix GT. I had the alternator and battery replaced, sometimes the car wont start, itll just keep cranking... When it does fire up, I start driving, everything seems fine but after awhile of driving the car will shut off while in idle. THEN it wont start again, sits there and cranks but doesnt turn over. Any ideas?

    tachometer go to 0 before it stalls?

    it goes to 0 for quite a bit and I can drive on it like that. Then when I idle it dies.

    How positive are you? Does that cause the tachometer to drop to 0 when bad?

    Yep Very easy diagnosis once you know what your looking for.
    No More GTP for me.
