New on the site and new to GP's. Bought an 06 GP (regular engine, 80000 miles) a few weeks ago, and still trying to get used to it. My biggest gripe is that I can't get a feel for the gas pedal. You have to give it the slightest pressure to not jerk from a dead stop. When in park, the slightest bump jumps it to 2000 rpm. Sometimes 1500 if I'm super careful. This doesnt seem right to me, and parking is a real pain in the rear.

Additionally, the gas pedal signal seems to take a half-second or so before the throttle reacts. Again, normal? I've never owned a throttle-by-wire car before so maybe that's how they go? Appreciate any help!

    Thanks - glad it's unanimous

Next question - I've never cleaned a TB before. Easiest/best way for these cars? Good stuff to use, bad stuff to use? I saw one site that said to disconnect the neg batt cable to keep from the damaging the control motor.

Cleaned it tonight - definitely made it less touchy, thanks a lot.

It still lags a half or quarter second from when I press the gas. I can give it a quick, small hit on the gas, and the pedal will return to rest before the motor revs. Is this normal? My climate control functions are also slow to repond (long lag) so maybe thats related...

Its drive by wire, the computer does not let it snap very fast.
