    hello, i just bought a 04 grand prix gt and yesterday it was really cold, around -20. my temperature gauge did not move at all in 65km on highway at 120 km/hr and when i arrive in the city, my temperature gauge went up a little.
    my heater was running fine. my grand prix is hard to start also when its warm, i sometimes have to gives some gaz to start,i tought it was spark plugs but i have read on others threads and it seem reliated. and i have a check engine. so wath should i do first? thank you

    i just did a reset by disconecting my battery and the check engine left and my temperature went up.

    i still have the same problem, my gauge wont move if im driving but if im on idle after a long time it will start to raise really slowly. i really need this problem fix cause its -35 celsius and i dont have much heat. wath can it be , thermostats?

    I would get the Tstat looked at jsut to be sure... Other than that... Ummmm maybe its just too fricken cold move somewhere warmer :P

    04 comp G, front/rear towerbraces, pacesetters, ported sc, LIM, 3.3 pulley, 1.9 mod rockers, Ls1 springs and retainers, custom dyno tune, 180 tstat, shortned dog bones, full poly mounts, zzp shift kit, custom fwi, 28inch cherry bomb, flowmaster 40's. 290whp 380wtq before the button. coldfusion n2o, 60 shot.     i just called for the thermostats, they sell it 20$ and they charge me 70$ for the labour. does it really take an hour to change a thermostats, im sure i could do it faster than that at - 35 lol

    its just 2 10MM bolts. dont pay some one to do it

    ya will do , i didnt want to do it cause its -35, ill probably do this this week end, people told me it could also be some air in my coolant system i dont know lol. i think im gonna just buy a thermostat anyway it would be a good maintenance and ill check the coolant system if everything work fine. thank you for your help

    this morning at 5am got a bad surprise, car had a really rough idle and stalled.it did that like 5 times. i took my ford edge to go to work, i just called the towing to go to the garage at least i bought this car for very cheap.

    After the rough Idle and stal would it turn over and fire up? or just no fire at all?

    problems are solved!!!!! it was the fuel filter and my thermostats. thank you everyone
