Im looking to purchase a Tuned PCM and I noticed that all the transmission options are "Performance Shift Only". My car is not equipped. I have researched and seen that people are adding a wire to the #21 pin on the PCM and tying it into a switch or a shift knob they had bought. I have also read the 03 PCM's are different than other years. So, do the 03's have a different way to add the PS, or is it the same?

Im not sure what that means. This is what is said in the details for the tuned PCM.

    • Raised shift points (Performance Shift mode only)
    • 3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts(Performance Shift mode only)
    • Transmission line pressure increased (Performance Shift mode only)

No...def wont go with ZZP. Heard too many bad things about a bunch of their parts. Do I need to drop to 3.4" pulley before getting the PCM? Or will it go F me up running the stock?

no dont drop a pulley unless you have the rest of the supporting mods for it. You will run rich at wot, but other than that you will be fine.

I have CAI, NGK iridium plugs. Thats about it. Im not sure about the DP cause I do not have a ubend on my car. I dont know if the OEM had been replaced, or if I happen to have an 04' DP. What's your opinion on PLOG's? I have money for headers but Im worried about Emissions issues running them. (Texas is an inspection state)

now don't get me wrong. its not gonna compare to headers, if you can get away with headers and a catalytic converter do it!

Maybe for the rear, but from everything I've read on PEM's is there really isnt much room to port on the front manifold. Also, its an even debate about the PLOGs "are great" to them cracking within a few months

Get headers with a cat and keep the egr and you should be fine.

What about the headers hitting the radiator fan? Just heat wrap the header and fan motor?

i ran damn near no KR on my PEMS and high flow cat. only time was cuz of the torque management on these cars. i hear plogs are more for the N/A

just lurked your new post. the fan can take the heat coming from the headers but it will always do your car better to wrap the entire headers

they dont hit. That was only a problem with the 97 and 98 cars with the larger fans.
