I have 4 licence place little lights and those lights are connected to one of the wires to the bulb in my tail lights, they go connected to the 194 bulb wires. I had this lights connected for years, but 2 months ago there was "short circuit" (I'm not too sure of that word, but its when one wire touches the other and burns the wire, or may be the wire gets too hot and burns) I fixed that problem, but now it happened again!! I was on the highway at night and my lights went off cause of this short circuit, I had to park somewhere and fix it and it was snowing lol but I didn't want to drive the car with no tail lights at night. My question is, what causes this?? like I said, I had those lights for years in this car and a different car that I had before and I never had that problem, now it seems like its going to happen again and I'm affraid that my car is going to catch on fire!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I connect the wires good and wrap them really good with electrical tape, but still this happens! do you think the wire gets too hot and thats why this happens?
