    Hi everyone!

I really hope someone can help me out with this. I recently purchased a 2000 Grand Prix, and it has had some stalling problems. The car will have been running fine but if I turn it off to run into a store or somewhere for a short while, it will not start up again. Then if I let it sit for a few hours and try it again, it will start up fine. Also, it will randomly stop when I am driving it....but when it does that I just turn the car off and on again and it will start fine. I have taken my car in to get fixed a number of times, but no one can figure out the problem! It's so frustrating that two different car shops haven't been able to help me. Any tips out there? Thanks guys!

Well, that is unfortunate. The first think to do is get the car scanned for codes, so you know first-hand what is going on. FYI AutoZone will do this for free.
My first thought is take a hard look at the catalytic converter since it could be clogged. And if it is the problem, it may or may not give a code.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!

my mass air sensor was going out but not dead and did similar things to me. if your car is a 3.8, they will run with the mass air sensor unplugged since there is a speed density sensor too. if the mass air sensor is bad, and you unplug the mass air sensor and the car runs better off just the speed density sensor you'll know its mass air sensor or wiring. that's what happened to me back in 2010 hence my 2010 join date.
