Don't tell me not to waste my money. I've seen this done a few times now. Just looking for the write up, money is not an issue. My dad is an awesome mechanic and I don't have to pay for labor(he owes me a lot in back child support lol..j/k..kinda) Swapping in a lot lower mileage engine at the same time any help is appreciated.

So if the 6 speed fits in there will the automatics just bolt in our 97-02?

is this a serious thread? the 5 speed is what you want, not the 6 speed.

    Step one:

The six speed can't hold nearly as much power as the five....

    kuntzie did it.
    you need
    "getrag 282 or 284
camaro fly wheel with longer bolts
    pedal assembly
    new clutch
best to get a z34 or gp donor car"
and the 284 is not serviceable anymore really.

the 6-speed is junk if your making any good power,

theres no such thing as a 3 hr install unless you have done the swap already and you want to were to take the trans out and put it back in, then maybe you can do in hrs if you have skills, but good luck, the realease bearing will take hours on its own if your not completely alert of how it works

    5-speed ftw
02 Grand Prix GT Intercooled turbo 5-speed 718whp 618wtq @ 21psi 7575 billet, spool valve, custom manifolds, 4" downpipe, 16way adjustable coilovers, 18x9.5 with 275's all around, gxp interior, gxp brakes
tilton triple disc, custom aluminum flywheel, tilton slave and master, an awful lot more
