Does any of you guys have ever replaced the valve cover gasket on a pontiac grand prix gt 97-03? Mine is leaking oil from there and it looks like is a little hard to do it yourself since you have hoses, wires and some other connections in the way to remove valve covers... Does any of you know how to do it or know about a "how to" video in the web? My brother knows more about cars and I think he can do it better than me, still a little help from a "how to" video would be great

I've replaced the gasket on the front valve cover sucessfully lol I didn't do the one on the rear because I know is gonna take more time and I don't have time right now cause later I need to go get my son. So tomorrow I will do it, wish me luck lol

Note: the gasket was good, it looked like new but there was a problem.... it was the wrong gasket. Past owner put the gasket that goes to the rear valve cover in the front!!! so I'm sure the gasket on the rear has the gasket from the front... I'm I explaining this right? lol anyways, that may be the reason why my car has been leaking oil, because the gasket where put wrong!

This thread is old........ If they didn't replace the gasket by now their engine would have seized.
