I have a 2006 Grand Prix Base and have recently noticed that the heater goes in and out of blowing heat. Sometimes it takes a long while for any heat to come out. It's cold outside nowadays and it's not comfortable driving when it's chilly in the car.

Anybody know what's going on and what I can do to fix the problem?

Do you have heat then it goes away, Does it come back?

Sometimes the heat comes on right after turning on the car. Sometimes it blows cool air then starts blowing warm air, not warm enough. When the heat does come on it's for awhile then the cool air will start blowing again.

Funny how I guessed that lol. you have a bubble in the coolant on top of the coolant neck should be a screw you need to bleed it when you car is at normal temp.

Whats your coolant temps like ? Your thermostat could be stuck open.
