Just installed this used AC compressor from Morad the other day. Replaced orifice tube, accumulator, and all o-rings I could. Flushed system and set on vacuum for at least an hour. Left over night after disconnecting vacuum and held ~29 in Hg. Charged with 36oz (2.25lb) r134a per TSB #99-01-38-005. Yesterday while working on my oil leak, I noticed the compressor was leaking UV dye and was blowing tiny bubbles at the joints around the warning label. Don't know if it matters, but the temperature when I charged the system was about 60F and it was about 40F when the pics were taken and I noticed the leak. The car was not running when these pics were taken.

Looks like you need to replace it again. Its very common for the v5 compressors to leak there. Especially if they have not been used in a while such as being stored on a shelf in salvage yards. I had to go through 6 different ones till i was able to get a good non leaking one, good thing they were under warranty.

Unfortunately I bought it at the end of June and just got around to replacing it. Even though it was just installed, it's still out of the 90 day warranty.

So do you think it's definitely shot? Could it be the control valve? It's really to cold now to check if the ac is working. It's odd that it would hold a vacuum overnight with no signs of leaking.
