This is what I found on this mod from ZZP. Of course there are instuctions on how to do it, but all the way at the bottom where these few words that most of us would probably overlook:

This modification won't help everyone. It does help you for gaining hood clearance after adding an intercooler. It also helps some cars achieve full boost that were having problems with the bypass not closing all the way during WOT.

My advice is that if you are not having any boost issues, don't move it. Trust me, I found out the hard way.

There is. So many were saying that it was for this and that , so I found the article on it that said what the mod was for. There might be more to it, but this is what ZZP had on their site. That's where everyone was getting the free mod from.

Their reasoning is lame. If the valve isn't working right then replace it. If you are have hood clearance issues after installing an IC, then adjusting the BBV and potentially getting more KR doesn't seem to be the right option either. Some of the write-ups you see are old and no longer apply.
Your additional information from ZZP is still info and should be in the other thread where people interested in the subject can see it.

I put on the other thread that what info I found I was going to put in the tech section that way anybody else that had seen the "free mod" on ZZP and looked on here to find any goods or bads about it, most should look under the tech section. But, I see where your coming from now that I think of it. I guess I could add there also so if anybody reads there. My Bad.

No biggie, man. I'm only thinking of all of the mind numbing threads I used to dig through over the years while doing research and finding partial infomation in each one and then having to go back and forth piecing said info together.

Look at all of the which exhaust or intake threads. This forum is new and there are several here. Over at CGP,iirc, I noticed 3 muffler threads on the same page.LOL
