My 2001 Grand Prix is leaking coolant on the front driver side (end closest to headlight). Car seems to be alright when i drive but leaks a bunch of fluid when i shut the car off and stops not too long after it dumps a bunch.

It is at the mechanic now but I want an idea of what this could be and roughly how much cash ill be out.

    Thanks

From what you are describing, drivers side, close to the headlight, that sounds like an upper radiator hose, or I guess the bleeder valve could be loose or something. I cant imagine that costing a lot. Radiator hose is $30 or about there I believe.

Let us know what they find.

Actually, could be a number of things. Could be a radiator hose leaking. Could be the drain cock leaking. Could be radiator tank leaking.

While he said by the headlight still could be the t-stat housing leaking. Could be the temp sending unit leaking. Could be the TB gasket leaking. Could be the bleed valve leaking.
