Today while driving home I looked at my information center and the left side said "cal". What does that mean? It was on the bottom left, I think the compass was there, maybe calculate or calibrate? What do I need to do?

Calibrate the compass...while in park press the "i" to go into the programming mode and find the compass calibration setting. Then u gotta drive in a circle until it sets itself.

according to your profile it says your in Ca. Southern Ca is in zone 5 and most of Ca is in zone 4. It's on page 3-66 in your owners manual.

Hey guys. Thought it might be better to post a question here rather than start a new thread. I've got an '04 GTP showing CAL and can't calibrate the damned thing. When I get to the DIC screen where you select your region, it just shows -- in the box and the reset button does nothing to change it. I can proceed to the "drive your car in circles" part but after 4 to the right and 3 to the left I gave up on account of the nausea. I don't know if this thing can even calibrate anymore, much less pick a region. I've got an aftermarket deck, so I swapped in the stock deck on a hunch to see if it made a difference to the DIC - no change. Any ideas?
